What Families Are Saying

  • Lisette

“Sarah was a wonderful doula, and it's hard to imagine our birth experience without her! Leading up to and during labor, she was always available, offering guidance and support that helped us feel confident and prepared. Whether it was guiding our birth plan, adjusting to unexpected changes, or making informed decisions in the moment, Sarah ensured we felt calm, capable, and cared for every step of the way.

We had a hospital birth, and Sarah played a vital role in advocating for us and communicating with the hospital team. She worked seamlessly with the nurses, and several staff members commented after our son’s birth on how impressed they were with our team — Sarah, my husband, and me.

When baby number two comes, I won’t hesitate to call Sarah again. She was instrumental in supporting me through late pregnancy and labor, and she even made a postpartum visit. My only regret is not finding her sooner — she’s a wealth of knowledge and warmth, and her help made all the difference.”

Sarah is compassionate, informed, non- judgmental, empathetic, and kind. I can't imagine my birth and postpartum experience without her. Our marriage, relationship with our baby, and our new identities as mother and father have all been touched by her grounding advice and careful preparation. When I recount the visits we had with Sarah with my friends who recently delivered their babies and even ones that hired doulas, people are consistently impressed with what we tell them about our experience with Sarah. She is truly a special person and incredible doula.

When I was planning for the birth I thought I was fairly well informed and prepared though I was nervous about all the uncertainty. My husband recommended we hire a doula, which I thought was an unnecessary indulgence initially. We were late into the pregnancy and I had read many books and thought I was well prepared. I am so glad we ultimately decided to hire Sarah. From the first free consultation her presence and trauma informed approach were assuring. Sarah helped us to discuss the birth, informed us of the possible options of what might happen, shared specific relevant research connected to our questions and concerns and discussed it with us. Sarah's help built up my resilience and eased my anxiety.

Sarah was generous with her time and created a safe space. I felt comfortable being honest with my feelings and she created a forum for my husband and I to discuss expectations related to birth and postpartum and ways to prepare which set us up for success. She showed us exercises to ease pregnancy pains, to orient the baby for optimum birth position, and helped us to practice labor positioning and pain mitigation. We wrote three birth plans together- for spontaneous labor,  induction, and c-section. When we decided to induce after our baby was delayed for over a week Sarah spoke to us on the phone, text and zoom about all the options and helped us to make a decision we trusted was best.

She was flexible, open and supportive. Though she is deeply informed she helped us to lead and come to our own conclusions while sifting through conflicting research and birth knowledge. She was incredibly generous with us and made herself available throughout and after the process.

Sarah's presence during the birth as a patient advocate and doula diffused and redirected many elements of the birthing process that easily could have been traumatic. I felt empowered, informed, and in control during the most memorable and intense moment of my life. Not only do my husband and I have powerful and positive memories, Sarah took incredible photographs of the birth and wrote exhaustive notes so that she could help us process it and so she could explain certain components of the birth after the fact.

After the birth Sarah continued to help us, checking in, reassuring us about some of our concerns, and telling us which we should discuss with our physicians. She brought us delicious, heathy food, specifically tailored to our tastes and allergies and containing ingredients meant to restore my health and milk supply(from delectable protein balls to sweet oatmeal and savory congee). Sarah helped with nursing and showed me how to support my postpartum body and transformed our bedroom into a magical spa like experience and gave me a very helpful massage.

There is so much more I could say. I hope this review helps more families find Sarah, being a doula is truly her calling and families are better for working with her.

“Sarah has been by my side for two of my births—each profoundly different, and both equally life-changing. She supported me, alongside hospital-based midwives, through the unimaginable loss of my first son, who was stillborn at 37 weeks. And she stood beside me once again for the emotional, healing, and empowering early-term induction of our daughter, supported by our wonderful OB/GYN.

Sarah’s innate wisdom, grounding presence, unwavering support, and fierce advocacy carried me through both the darkest and most transformative moments of my life. Each of my births has marked a powerful transition into a different version of motherhood, and Sarah has been there for every step of that evolution. Her passion, deep knowledge, and confidence are truly invaluable—whether you’re pregnant, giving birth, or finding your way through the early postpartum experience.”

“Working with Sarah was one of the best decisions we made. She was everything we needed—but didn’t even know we needed. Her caring and gentle presence made us feel completely supported without ever being invasive. What stood out most is how she tuned in and customized her approach to match our vibe and needs in each moment. She has such a calming energy and an intuitive way of knowing when to step in and when to give space. We can’t imagine going through this experience without her, and we’re endlessly grateful”
